SIM stands for ‘Shape In Motion’.
Stripping everything back to the basics, focusing on how each piece works and, more importantly, how it can deliver more from a performance standpoint, TaylorMade has taken a new approach to engineering – much like a Formula One team would do with their racing cars.
For example, each year, an F1 team reveals a new race car and, although it appears the same as preceding models, it is engineered differently. Using exactly the same concept, TaylorMade retained the head shape that worked so well in 2020 but concentrated on reshaping it to deliver speed at the most crucial stage of the swing. This, in turn, improved MOI (moment of inertia) forgiveness and stability.
SIM 2 drivers to suit every need
TaylorMade has kept the same three model offerings that were available in the SIM range, however, they each perform a little differently.

TaylorMade SIM 2 driver – the mid-launch, low spin option which has the lowest CG (centre of gravity) of all three SIM 2 drivers. Thanks to its larger clubface, it is a lot more forgiving and playable than last year’s model too.

TaylorMade SIM 2 Max driver – with a mid to high launch and mid to low spin, and boasting a 24g rear weight, the SIM 2 Max driver is undoubtedly the most forgiving within the range.

TaylorMade SIM 2 Max Draw – this one ticks all the right boxes if you’re after a mid-launch, mid-spin driver. With more weight towards the heel, the SIM 2 Max Draw driver has a higher MOI than previous models and offers plenty of forgiveness. It even provides a draw bias flight to stop you slicing the ball.
