While your choice might come down to your favourite brand or design, there are some key features you should look for when buying a golf umbrella.

The main thing to consider is the size of the canopy. You want something big enough to keep you and your equipment dry but not so big you struggle to handle it.

You should also consider the umbrella's weight, as you’ll be carrying it around for a long time. Most golf umbrellas are made from fibreglass shafts, so are incredibly lightweight and easy to carry, but you should still check.

Finally, you should also check if your golf umbrella has any specific protection against UV rays. Remember, a golf umbrella isn’t just for a rainy day. It can stop you getting burnt on particularly hot days.
